Entity Proximity Zone

The Entity Proximity Zone tool is a visualization tool used to help indicate areas where entities are breaching social distancing requirements.

As with all LEGION outputs, you should interpret the results and adapt your models accordingly. For instance, by reducing arrival demand, increasing queuing provisions, or increasing infrastructure provisions such as gates.

The tool draws a circle around each entity, using a diameter based on your desired social distancing. Where circles overlap, it indicates the social distancing is breached.

The color and thickness of an entity circle depends on:
  • Whether or not social distancing has been breached;
  • The number of that entity's neighbors that are breaching social distance.

There are 3 Entity Proximity Zone options, matching the enabled social distances in Project Settings.

To start the command, use any of these methods:
  1. Open the Display menu. Select the Render Entity Proximity Zone… option.
  2. In the Display toolbar, click the Render Entity Proximity Zone… button .

Red dots on the Entity Proximity Zone icons correspond to numbered social distancing metrics:

  • One Dot=SD1;
  • Two Dots=SD2;
  • Three Dots=SD3;
